Enough

Conspiracy of Silence

This has been a long time coming, women supporting each other in speaking up in regards to unethical behavior from powerful men.

Yes I believe you. Me too.

In an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer, Judd said she confronted
Harvey Weinstein in 1999 after he allegedly sexually harassed her.
Weinstein denies all allegations.

I thought I was over all the poor behavior men have shown in the workplace since day one of my many experiences in the career arena but I was not. Did I want to address this concern in my writing and art? I told myself I do. It is about damn time.
"We are doing this for her..."
 - Ashley Judd

When I was a young girl I never had a problem speaking up when I saw an injustice, I always had an inner strength beyond my age, an understanding of not putting up with poor behavior from anyone, either from an adult or another child. This has served me well in the long run but made people angry if I did not play along, especially someone older or who had more power.

I believe the culture of silence is real. At every single turn there is a man, sometimes a woman, who is testing you, to see if you will give up your integrity for a dollar. It begins at the first job as you work your way through school. It begins when you speak up about unacceptable behavior and no one believes you. As a young women you learn that no one listens and it is best to move on and handle the BS with humor or quit and move on, no one cares so get tough.

Timing is everything. If you speak up to soon, you could lose a career path. Oprah did not speak up early in her career either. Women and men have had to keep their mouths shut to survive, this has now changed with strength in numbers and the momentum of the internet.

I Stand with Girls and Women Everywhere
I Believe You.
There are no more secrets.
Women are at the tipping point.
You have a voice, we have a voice together.
It is about time. Every woman has a story.

'top of harassment ladder' - BBC Newsnight

Who believed Anita Hill? I did.
Say yes to your integrity and be heard and listen to those who speak up.

"The dam has burst in a big way."

- Tom Hanks

When You Experience Sexual Harassment at Work know that there is strength in numbers. There is a real gaslight behavior that happens with bully behavior so believe your gut and intuition first.

Do your research, take notes and be patient as you decide what to do. You are not crazy:

All Souls Rise

TOGETHER

We honor and celebrate a time of grief and love with a ritual that is historic and special to our souls and united in expanding our hearts together.

The 28th Annual All Souls Procession Weekend will be November 3-5, 2017!

All Souls Day

Is celebrated after Halloween on November 2nd and is a ritual of remembering our loved ones who have died. In Tucson we had over 150,000 people participate in our one of a kind parade of the dead. It is a subversive, theatric, tear filled, dance and music extravaganza of spiritual vision and expansion beyond religous beliefs

The offerings, face masks, puppets and theater embrace the eclectic and creative nature of Tucson. Our souls who have been drawn to live here are wild and artistic, the ghosts are all around us from from those who came before in our western frontier of magnificent mountains, dancing saguaros and rolling tumbleweeds.

My cowgirl spirit was awakened at The Historic Rialto Theater in Tucson, Arizona to submit my grief for all who have died in my life over many years including almost all family, tons of friends and dozens of pets. I turned in my personal photos to be included in the slide show with everyone who did the same and felt the universe receive the release and celebration.

The meaning of Fall:

"In the Christian calendar, November 1 is the Feast of All Saints, a day honoring not only those who are known and recognized as enlightened souls, but more especially the unknowns, saints who walk beside us unrecognized down the millennia.

In Buddhism, we honor the bodhisattvas - saints - who refuse enlightenment and return willingly to the wheel of karma to help other beings. Similarly, in Judaism, anonymous holy men pray the world from its well-merited destruction. We never know who is walking beside us, who is our spiritual teacher. That one - who annoys you so - pretends for a day that he's the one, your personal Obi Wan Kenobi. The first of November is a splendid, subversive holiday.
― Mary Rose O'ReilleyThe Barn at the End of the World: The Apprenticeship of a Quaker, Buddhist Shepherd

Halloween
is the only the beginning of the season based on a commercial commerce business model initiated during the industrial revolution and our grandparents recovery from the depression. I believe we are moving into a shapeshifter time of evolutionary change. We will expand our humanity to an enlightened wisdom out of the current chaos where All Souls Rise.

As our souls rise this season, get in touch with our future together.

Much Moksha Love,

Re-Set "A Woman for All Seasons"

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Talks Past and Future at Resnick Aspen Action Forum

“I consider myself tremendously fortunate because the kind of things I have said are things women have been saying forever,” Ginsburg told the crowd. “But earlier societies were not yet prepared to listen.”

Why a Re-Set

Today I thank God for the wisdom of women thinkers on the Supreme Court Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagen and Sandra Day O'Conner.

The grounding and balance we need now comes from smart women in law who have had to work within a "bad old days" system to understand how one needs to complain and speak up against injustice, discrimination, harassment and sexual perversion. Speaking up does not mean you are a victim, it means you are courageous and bring light to reveal wrong doing and poor decision making. Darkness and evil comes to those who will do something and correct the injustice.

Women need to be role models and set and example in order to rise for our daughters, co-workers, families and future.

The Lily Ledbetter case is an example:

“But sometimes a defeat can end up being a huge victory,” Ginsburg said. “I was in that fortunate position in the Lily Ledbetter case.” The Court had ruled against Ledbetter due to the majority’s interpretation of Title VII’s statute of limitations. While she believed an egregious mistake had been made, Justice Ginsburg left it up to Congress to correct the error. This led to the creation of the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a law prohibiting sex-based wage discrimination. It was the first act signed by then-President Barack Obama.
Retreating from a difficult situation or person does have the result of not giving the darkness energy, but retreating and also including being aware of one's responsibility in being chosen to handle the problem is a gift to growth. This is a wake up call to not hiding in the sand and rising to our highest potential as humans.

I Stand With Our Future: Girls
Are you shaping the future with your decisions or retreating from learning what conscious communication and radical empathy will do for our world? It all begins in our neighborhoods and with our neighbors.

There is a reason this has been the summer of our discontent and a reset on how this year of bully behavior came to be is needed.

Mouse people need to become Tiger people.

My good friend and Akashic Advisor Linda Joy Stone sent me an email about the "Rupture" we are now going through and how it is a predictor of the "Rapture" awaiting. As the shift and flow reset is upon us, it is vital that we are aware as we are uncomfortable.

After the Total Solar Eclipse, the timing of hurricane after hurricane, raging wildfires, floods and ICBMs it feels super crazy. The earth's temper is also reflected in people around us. We come together as we fall apart. Climate change is real.

The journey continues upward, as we are aware that there are beings lifting us in loving hands for our evolution.

As my mentor Dr. David Simon said: "Attention! Attention!"

“It’s all about love. It’s always been about love. Love is the only thing that’s real.”

Much Moksha Strength...
your path is our journey together

August Eclipse of the Heart

Dear Moksha Hearts,

This month is a very special time as we experience the Sturgeon Full Moon in Leo on August 7 and it's transition to the Solar Eclipse on August 21.

Why is this special?
At the start of this strong cycle of transition the sturgeon fish spirit totem dives deep in the Great Lakes, lives a long life and represents the dreams of your heart manifesting with success. This can be an emotional time with fire, water and air powerfully shifting, so it is even more important to quiet the mind and practice allowing of the next steps in order to reach your highest potential without pushing.

Your greatest good will arrive by taking a break.

2017 Eclipse:

Earth, Moon and Sun

On August 21, 2017, the Earth will cross the shadow of the moon,
creating a total solar eclipse.
Eclipses happen about every six months, but this one is special.

This special eclipse reminds me to share that it is vital to teach our children how to take a break from the noise by taking a break ourselves to self nurture and eliminate the clutter of behavior that does not serve us or humanity.

You may have felt that this time is HUGE as we shift to a new cycle of being, a new way of receiving the light that brings healing, removes limitations and brings great freedom.

The Solar Eclipse is nature's way of letting us know who is really in charge. We all need to take a break and pay attention to our heart's desires, placing our friends and families first.

We can learn during this energy shift that this is a time of plenty.

Goldie Hawn reflects the wisdom that this is a time to
"grow our children differently"
in order to create the next {r}evolution.

I suggest spending this time in ritual and meditation with your kids as you celebrate their unique talents and abilities that are beyond your knowing. You are sculpting the change you wish for, the earth you want and the life you desire.

Laugh Out Loud!

Ha, Ha, Ho, Ho, Ho!

"Laughter gives you the freedom to create."
Dr. Madan Kataria

Watch: Laughter and Painting Creates Powerful Art

Laugh Your Buts Off!

You can remove structured blocks from the left brain that stop growth in all areas of life with Laughter Yoga, celebrated today on World laughter Day.

I was introduced to LY many years ago at the same time I met Dr.'s Deepak Chopra and Andrew Weil at a collaborative talk about Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.

Then, as I began my life "re-start" to heal from a lifetime of chronic illness, I began my path of learning the ancient secrets of yoga, Ayurvedic well-being, laughter yoga and meditation.

One of my passions is guiding people to change their lives to help prevent heart attacks and strokes. As I worked with the Go Red 4 Women event for the American Heart Association, I was introduced to Gulshan K. Sethi, MD who also presented a workshop on laughter yoga and healing from cardiac events at Tucson Medical Center.

As a result I now teach this transforming practice and implement it in the art of business and lifestyle well-being.

Did you know that World Laughter Day is May 7, 2017 and was created in 1998 by Dr. Madan Kataria?

The "founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement, Dr. Kataria, a family doctor in India, was inspired to start the Laughter Yoga movement in part by the facial feedback hypothesis, which postulates that a person's facial expressions can have an effect on their emotions. The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for world peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter. It is most often celebrated by gatherings of people in public places with the sole purpose of laughing. Its popularity has grown exponentially with that of the Laughter Yoga movement now counting thousands of Laughter Clubs in more than 105 countries."
- wikipedia

The science of laughter, combined with hand clapping (pressure points) and the feelings of mindfulness, passion and joyful emotions that are released make you feel really good! Laughter with friends, by yourself, real or faked can all work and

"trigger an increase in endorphins, the brain chemicals known for their feel-good effect."

"Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain." - Charlie Chaplin

It is interesting that many of Charlie Chaplin's difficulties and successes that resulted are a reflection of our current political environment:

"In 1959, federal officials hoped to entrap Chaplin at an immigration office with a question about a girlfriend’s abortion—he’d have been forced either to admit it, rendering himself “mandatorily excludable,” or to perjure himself."

The Laughter Prescription is also what Norman Cousins in his groundbreaking book "Anatomy of an Illness" say's healed him from a devastating, life threatening illness 37 years ago.

‘A clown is like an aspirin, only he works twice as fast.’ - Groucho Marx

is the founder of the Gesundheit community, the doctor who's story House Calls was made into a blockbuster movie you must see starring Robin Williams. His work continues to save lives and proves the experience of illness and trauma can be turned around with laughter and love.

Whatever you do today, stop from the whirlwind of news and responsibilities and laugh!

10 Ways to Feel Joy:

  1. Stock up on funny movies and watch them with friends
  2. Enjoy your favorite comedy show without multitasking
  3. Play with your kids outside with no phones
  4. Learn Laughter Yoga, it is easy!
  5. Enjoy your pets with no TV
  6. Go dancing, any kind you like
  7. Stay away from people who are toxic...UGH!
  8. Laugh at yourself
  9. Paint, sing, play music and twirl
  10. Say yes to fun, the dishes can wait...
Laughter is the best thing worth catching!

PS: During your prayers and meditations, please send a heartfelt smile of care and love to all you know who are in harms way, grieving or suffering in any shape or form. Veterans of war to babies in need of loving parents, love and laughter is the only answer to universal healing.

Why March?

Strength in Synergy, Diversity and Passion

This year I have felt the power of the feminine in collaboration as we are faced with a new unexpected challenge. What does this mean?

I have observed that many of us have been too comfortable either in our pain, status or safe zone.
Many people have gone through horrific times beyond anyone's imagination and many have not causing a huge clash in viewpoints.
As a result the universe is telling us we need to shake things up to move forward again.

A firestorm is errupting and it suprises and shocks me when I see comments reflecting the questions:

"Why are we speaking up and marching?"
"What is the big deal?"
"What do you have to complain about?"

Victoria Steele
shared why our Tucson Womens March on Washington is vital to our personal, family and community wellbeing

"It takes empathy to form a more perfect union"

- Victoria Steele

In a year when Harriet Tubman made headlines to honor and acknowledge people of color,
the fact that it feels like we are starting all over again to stand tall for our
equal rights seems insane.

This month is Women's History Month and we are finally free to choose and be respected for our ambitions.

Therefore the pushback has started again

"There is an enormous amount of ignorance."

I believe that we are undergoing another evolutionary breakthrough in our humanity and we have to step up to the plate.
We either change and grow or go backwards and wither.

Life is is a cycle of remembering and forgetting.

Synergy is in action when several complimentary films are produced in the same period. This is a reflection of the universal momentum that rises subconsciously and begins through the arts first.
Now that we have many female mentors in strong positions to create a world based on respect and accomplishment, the bully factor kicks in to fight from an old luddite mentality.

"Is war still the only language men listen to?"

In 2017 Stereotypes Are Still In Play

Messages for girls and young women have basically sucked and women themselves are still a huge part of the problem.

Many of us did not

“have time to be pissed,...”

If we do not make the time now

when will we?

Now is time to align with strong smart talented women and support each other's work, there is only room for collaboration. Old thinking still degrades our strength and women fall into the quick sand everyday by lack of awareness.

10 Wisdoms to Put Your Passion Into Action:

  1. Pay attention before sharing anything, do a few moments of research and reflection, ask yourself and others "where does this originate from?"
  2. Support other women's talents and businesses that support their families. Network where it counts.
  3. Help by being there when you know a friend is caretaking a dying friend or family member. Remember that they have a ton of responsibilities that you may not have.
  4. Stop playing into anything that lacks integrity for a short term gain. You will have to live with the ramifications.
  5. Show up and listen to what is affecting our communities.
  6. Do more for other women than "just do lunch" in women's groups.
  7. Learn, be a part, listen and incorporate change.
  8. Treat others with respect and empathy.
  9. Collaborate with conscious communication.
  10. Stop the cycle of being a victim in your own work and life just because it is the norm.
Examples for number 10:
- I saw another comment recently to raise money for "poor broke ass_______(you fill in the blank)'. Why would that be a wise investment in a community that has been saying that same thing for decades?
- If you observe sexism and abuse in your workplace, neighborhood or home do you speak up?

How to Start: I highly suggest journaling to get in touch with how you really feel, do more knowing and allowing for yourself and less pleasing. Pleasing is not caring, it is only a habit. Meditate on what moves your heart beyond anger.

If you have children or are a teacher I suggest MindUp to help guide the future leaders of our world.

" helps children develop greater empathy and compassion for themselves and for others, through understanding different perspectives."

- Goldie Hawn, The Hawn Foundation
