Laugh Out Loud!

Ha, Ha, Ho, Ho, Ho!

"Laughter gives you the freedom to create."
Dr. Madan Kataria

Laugh Your Buts Off!

You can remove structured blocks from the left brain that stop growth in all areas of life with Laughter Yoga, celebrated today on World laughter Day.

I was introduced to LY many years ago at the same time I met Dr.'s Deepak Chopra and Andrew Weil at a collaborative talk about Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.

Then, as I began my life "re-start" to heal from a lifetime of chronic illness, I began my path of learning the ancient secrets of yoga, Ayurvedic well-being, laughter yoga and meditation.

One of my passions is guiding people to change their lives to help prevent heart attacks and strokes. As I worked with the Go Red 4 Women event for the American Heart Association, I was introduced to Gulshan K. Sethi, MD who also presented a workshop on laughter yoga and healing from cardiac events at Tucson Medical Center.

As a result I now teach this transforming practice and implement it in the art of business and lifestyle well-being.

Did you know that World Laughter Day is May 7, 2017 and was created in 1998 by Dr. Madan Kataria?

The "founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement, Dr. Kataria, a family doctor in India, was inspired to start the Laughter Yoga movement in part by the facial feedback hypothesis, which postulates that a person's facial expressions can have an effect on their emotions. The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for world peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter. It is most often celebrated by gatherings of people in public places with the sole purpose of laughing. Its popularity has grown exponentially with that of the Laughter Yoga movement now counting thousands of Laughter Clubs in more than 105 countries."

The science of laughter, combined with hand clapping (pressure points) and the feelings of mindfulness, passion and joyful emotions that are released make you feel really good! Laughter with friends, by yourself, real or faked can all work and

"trigger an increase in endorphins, the brain chemicals known for their feel-good effect."

"Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain." - Charlie Chaplin

It is interesting that many of Charlie Chaplin's difficulties and successes that resulted are a reflection of our current political environment:

"In 1959, federal officials hoped to entrap Chaplin at an immigration office with a question about a girlfriend’s abortion—he’d have been forced either to admit it, rendering himself “mandatorily excludable,” or to perjure himself."

The Laughter Prescription is also what Norman Cousins in his groundbreaking book "Anatomy of an Illness" say's healed him from a devastating, life threatening illness 37 years ago.

‘A clown is like an aspirin, only he works twice as fast.’ - Groucho Marx

is the founder of the Gesundheit community, the doctor who's story House Calls was made into a blockbuster movie you must see starring Robin Williams. His work continues to save lives and proves the experience of illness and trauma can be turned around with laughter and love.

Whatever you do today, stop from the whirlwind of news and responsibilities and laugh!

Once Upon a Time...

Do you remember when everyone's home was a family business?

Before the industrial revolution that began in England, each family had a trade that was passed down for generations. Each family member inherited a talent that they took pride in, that is how this great country called the Unted States began.

What happened to that spirit of pride, risk and adventure that took us to the wild, wild west?

Everything is about remembering and forgetting, remembering the good things about our journey and forgetting the things that do not serve us any more. That is how evolution organically happens within new babies bodies.

We are now in the technology revolution
What does that mean for us?

We are coming full circle at the same time technology is meeting us head on, full force. Are we embracing this shift or frozen in fear that a "job" is not there for meeting our needs.

The reality is that there no more need for a brick and mortor office to fence in creativity and innovation. Those that are disciplined and passionate are creating a new world.

It is happening fast. At the same time we are slowing down to move smarter with meditation and yoga being implemented in the classrooms of our young children.

I am more excited by my work opportunities and skills then ever before. Everyone can do exactly what their passion is and fulfill their desires, if they choose.

What does that mean for you?

I see complaining about corporate greed everywhere and yet who allowed it to happen? If is wasn't for corporations. there would be no jobs that paid well.

Now is the time to change the meaning and experience of corporate life. It begins at home.

Are you ready to allow the shift in your life or are you fighting everyone flowing by you?

Today, I celebrate those daring greatly to create a new legacy for our universe without war and conflict. The inner spiral of awareness from the heart is long over due, it has been waiting for now.

Congratulations, the ride has just begun.

Conscious Living

The New Model for Living:

Have you ever felt you have spent your life reacting to events as they happen, being tossed around and beat up before you could even get started on following your own talents and desires?

Did you give up?

My suggestion is that you can get your power back by being aware and conscious by living in the now. Fully embracing each moment, not rushing because someone told you to or living to please a clock.

Have you ever observed you kids and grandchildren and said:

"Where did they get that? It wasn't from me!"?

The world is changing and evolution is upon us, it is time to embrace your life, its our children that are the wise ones now. Just because you do not understand it does not mean it is not happening.

Life is not the same, the world is not the same and business is not the same. You have choices and it begins by not following the complaining crowd and listening to your inner wisdom.

You begin this path by meditation. Turn off all the noise and stop.

Peace and Love, Jilly

Take Five.

Laughing Out Loud!

Hi Everyone!

This has been one of the best years of my life and one of the reasons is Laughter Yoga! I can hear you saying to your self:

"That sounds weird, what is Jilly up to now?"

Well, I have to report that it is amazing in regards to your health and how you feel. So much so that I am on my own path to Certification to teach within my Corporate "Bottom Line Well-being" Course.

There is more in regards to the facts from my answer to this question on facebook:

"What was the drug that you mentioned that is produced by laughter? It's the anti-cancer drug that the medical community is using." - Marie F.
My Answer:
"The group of naturally occurring proteins that mediate communication between cells are called interleukin's and interferon. There are 15 types of interleukin's that fight inflammation, cancer, arthritis, infection and disease. Stress impairs the release of interleukin's, laughter liberates interleukin's, helping to fight infection, COPD and reduce cholesterol, blood pressure and heart rate along with pain relief. I could list even more, great question Marie, I feel AWESOME!"
Watch for more here on the wonders of laughter and feeling really, really good!

A Little More About Me

Hello!

Thank you for coming by and learning more! I would like to share a little about me before going further. I was originally born in the absolutely beautiful city of Ann Arbor, home of the University of Michigan and the Original Ann Arbor Street Art Fair. I traveled and was raised all over the state from Grosse Pointe, Detroit, Traverse City, Lake Charlevoix and all the way up to the cold of Lake Superior to our family cabin in Blackjack, located in the Upper Peninsula, where my grandmother and our Finnish relatives taught us about saunas and skinny dipping! It was a great place to grow up, learn all kinds of sports, water skiing, sail and motor boating, snow skiing, horseback riding, dance, music and biking. I began my advanced education at the U of M at a very young age to study medical illustration and fine art, before my family moved to the great wide open, clear blue sky, mountain filled, southwest.

Go Blue!

Tucson, Arizona has been my home for many years, where I have loved traveling all over the state to Flagstaff, Sedona, Amado, Tubac, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Nogales, Oak Creek Canyon and all the lakes. My favorite water spot being Canyon Lake where I used to go boating with my Dad. Another favorite home was when we were part of the IBM family in San Jose, California; often visiting a favorite city of mine, San Francisco. One of the really neat things I get to do now is learn about and visit all kinds of great locations meeting some incredible people. I love San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Austin, Manhattan, New York, Toronto, Seattle, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Mexico City and Chicago.

Miss boating with my Dad

My friends call me Jilly and I grew up in a family of self made men and women who owned their own medical practices and businesses. Our family is made up of dentists, wellness professionals, physicians, ministers and artists. This includes my incredible grandmother, Helen Vitali Jesson, who spoke eight languages and traveled all over the world to Russia and China. I am the eldest of many cousins and have family all over the globe. It is such a pleasure and joy to hook up with relatives in London, Canada, Finland, Italy, Scotland, South America and more!

Sadly, both my parents, in laws and three of my grandparents are now passed away and my mother's father is in his 100's now living in Colorado. Dealing with the deaths of so many I love has been life changing and renewing at the same time. Taking care of them while they were ill, dealing with the horrific health care system and letting them go changes everything.

My Mom and Dad loved Michigan

Because I love and am passionate about so many things I call myself a New Age Renaissance Women. It is difficult to put it in a nutshell. I am a talented artist and designer, writer, media guru and geek who gets excited about technology, branding and packaging. My background includes being long time successful multi-media executive who loves raising revenue, smart thinking and creativity.

I spearheaded the launch of many established TV, newspaper and car dealer websites; partnering with successful national and international interactive advertising brand campaigns. I know what products and people have the right stuff to be successful.

The bold color and photography I use for my art, and documenting the huge world shift that is happening now, is combined with a very spiritual and deep understanding. I have been studying health and wellness all my life; reading every single medical publication I could get my hands on since I could first read my father's Journal of the American Medical Association.

God has put all my experience and talents in a direction of helping others as he has helped me through the healing power of Ayurveda. A lifetime of chronic illness, which affected all the things I love to do, is now completely gone and I will share more on how in upcoming posts.

I have accomplished many things, but I am most excited about starting my education in Perfect Health by pursuing my goal of a Master's in Ayurvedic Medicine and helping people feel better. My own business has always been what has given me joy and happiness and I absolutely love being able to choose who is in my life. I am surrounded by the best people I have ever worked with, sharing the tools of financial and health freedom. We are helping family's open their minds to find the love, desire, health and prosperity they deserve through mind, body, spirit healing.

The philanthropic arm of my company is also very powerful. We give to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital  and we have a focus on eliminating the abuse that affects children, seniors and animals. Animals have always been huge in my life and I have a house full!

I love my friends, sharing and cooking in my kitchen, being outside on the patio and in the garden, shopping for good food, eating well, reading wonderful books, painting, designing jewelry, yoga, modern dance, meditation, walking my dogs in the mountain air and listening to all kinds of music. A happy day is filled with art, fashion and film, sitting at a bistro having fun anywhere in the world with friends and family!

Namaste and Love, Jilly
