Wednesday Wisdom: Dream It and Do It
While Having Fun!

#WomenToWatchAZ Founder Jilly Jesson Smyth

International Women's Day

is Thursday, March 8, 2018

Today I know for sure our paths are aligned for a very special time. A wave of several generations are interwoven in a vision that has never been seen before, a collaboration of trust and integrity is making things happen with young women and mentoring wisdom that is not the norm of the past. A new quilt of many colors, many ages and many experiences is being wrapped around humanity.

We are Rebels with a Cause

My purpose in today's essay is to share how one can be aware of the disfunction and pain in todays reality yet stay balanced and focused on our dreams and desires at the same time. Anger can fuel good and great things for you.
Do not get distracted from your creative talents for too long because it is these talents that will raise us all higher.

Collaboration is key to balancing radical empathy and helping while staying on point with our work, we have to do this together.

It has been ironic to feel so excited by all the fantastic progress we are making in so many arenas yet knowing the daily barrage of cruelty and horror is happening at the same time.

What To Do?

One of the exciting vehicles I have created is my feature stories and coverage of some of the coolest women in my sphere that I cover in Women To Watch AZ. My next feature is about an incredible woman who has published a searing and brilliant memoir on rising from the ashes of trauma in the midwest. The fact that there are no more secrets means we can dare greatly together. #NeverAgain #MeToo #Enough

"George and Amal, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am joining forces with you and will match your $500,000 donation to ‘March For Our Lives.’ These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard."

Believe

2018: The Year of the "Yang Dog"

We have moved from the year of the Fire Rooster into the year of the Earth Dog, a time of "interrupting the interrupters" with Yang energy to strengthen the earthquake now happening in earth's humanity.

My wire haired dachshund speaks to me at this point in my essay. Miss Frida was named after the artist Frida Kahlo, she was full of powerful wisdom bursting forth with exactly what she knew was important and needed at any moment. She lived out loud and her nick name was "Frida Buddha" for her big loving eyes full of old soul knowledge.

Dachshunds are also known as "Rat Dogs", they can smell and find a rat in any environment. Miss Frida could always find the cockroach in any room or bug in any yard. I believe this is what is happening now. What used to be just a bad smell gracious people ignored is now a rotten mess that must be raised and removed to no longer infect our next generation.

Building Community

The #MeToo, #Enough, #TimesUp and 2018 Women's March schedule now in process is powerful. To support each other rise into our highest ambitions and talents, we need to collaborate with all of our voices and play a better game.

Makers Conference

Women are leading the way and rising to our highest selves. The way to change is to be in charge. Being in charge means setting an example of female leadership for our girls to learn from, we need equality plus knowing how powerful our female energy is as mentors.

"The world is waking up. We all feel it. On every continent, in every industry, at every level, women are raising their voices and taking charge like never before. The 2018 MAKERS Conference will take this movement to the next level. We'll explore new ways to make shock waves, unleash our collective power, and lift each other up as we fight for causes that matter."

Did you know that 1.59 billion people are ready to either stay behind or move forward on the largest interactive platform on the planet, Facebook?

All this has happened since the movie "Enough" came out in 2002. Technology for the people has had to catch up with the  reality that has only recently been identified and confirmed by the medical community as irrational gaslighting, a narcissistic behavior that does not make sense and never will.

This behavior is not OK
We have to own that we allowed this to happen by not supporting our sisters in the workplace and at home.

ENOUGH:

"Working-class waitress Slim (Jennifer Lopez) finds her life transformed when she marries wealthy contractor Mitch (Billy Campbell). She settles into an idyllic suburban life and seems to have everything she wants. Her dream is shattered when she discovers her husband is anything but perfect. His abusive behavior forces her to go on the run, eluding an increasingly obsessive Mitch and his lethal henchman."

Why Love?

Is H2H a trending hashtag in your life too?

I believe taking action by connecting with emotions from the heart has been missing from western civilization for a long time. Living only from the head has not served us well and it shows.

"Love is, without a doubt, the basis of everything."
Eben Alexander, M.D. Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife

Miss Samantha my beloved chihuahua
Many people have never experienced business and a career from a heart centered approach from the corporate environment. It is only recently that I have seen others besides me gravitate to not living their lives and work in a superficial way. It is now no secret in extremely successful organizations that empathy, manners and creativity is valued first and foremost in the workplace.

Ignoring the important things in life, not really listening and plowing through is now old style with the hashtag #H2H, Heart to Heart, now gaining momentum.

Now when I run across the lack of empathy and grace in networking with others it is like talking to a person made of cardboard.

Everyday is Valentine's Day
Wishing you a Happy Valentine Every Day!

I hope when someone say's "bless you" they mean it and when they look at you, to listen or to talk, they see your eyes and feel your soul. This is what is important and I hope we find this buried treasure as we reconnect to restore balance to humanity through conscious communication.

The heart and the empathatic emotions that come from within can be lost in the rush to win before being eaten by a shark. This way of life becomes reinforced every time we suffer, most recently by the 2007-2008 recession.

I propose that this whirlwind stop as each of us begins to look within for answers using the creative heart with the left brain's rational support.

To Be a Better Human here are 10 suggestions to implement:

1) A No Gossip Policy
2) Say Thank you Often
3) Listen More
4) Put the Phone Away
5) Look Eye to Eye
6) Be Respectful
7) Have Integrity First
8) A No Bully Policy
9) Learn Anger Management
10) Speak Kindly First

Be Different, Be Kind
To begin fresh this year reminds me to start with the heart.
It takes courage to break a habit that doesn't serve you or humanity but the payoff is HUGE...
I highly recommend it!

Allowing

Let It Be...

One of the wise sayings that resonates with me on a daily basis is

"Slow down to go faster."

Only You Can Prevent Speed Bumps
La Paloma Estates Speed Walk with The Smart Girls At The Party

Allowing:

"to make it possible through a specific action or lack of action for something to happen." (Free Dictionary)

I believe this is an important topic because I have found that the path to happiness is a balance of discernment and non-judgement.

All very successful, creative "business forward thinking" leaders like Richard Branson, David Lynch, Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon and Sara Blakely have a combination of caring, hustle and space time.

They invest the time to switch gears from the linear mind of the left brain ego, (feeling you have to know everything for something to be real), to ALLOWING the right brain to intuitively receive.

Smart Women in Film

I used to think that if change needs to happen it required me to do even more to create the shift.

What I have found is that the harder you push the more ignorance (the darkness) pushes back. The reason I chose the word ignorance is because we are constantly evolving into the unknowing. Life is all about the wisdom of when to work harder and when to relax as you open the space for the change to happen according to universal momentum.

Do you embrace the way the new well-being corporate environment is improving in regards to scheduling in yoga, meditation, walks and family? Have you embraced a shift in your family life?

The Top 12 Things I do daily to take care of myself and create my environment that results in more accomplishment are:

1)   Meditate twice a day
2)   Recapitulate my day.
3)   Be grateful
4)   Breathe well
5)   Slow down and do yoga
6)   Walk in nature and be with my animals
7)   Remove the watch and turn off electrionics in between working
8)   Eat well and drink lots of good water
9)   Schedule email, phone and messaging
10) Sleep well and pay attention to dreams
11) Stay away from the 24/7 tar babies, whiners and complainers
12) Read well and surround myself with smart, creative and happy people

Don't hold on to the past and embrace the future one step at a time.

With patience and love for yourself we are all one,

Love Jilly

Make It So!

Happy Valentines Day!

Today, folks should be all about love. Unless you’re old.

Jilly LIVE with co-host Mr. Einstein

Did you you know that you make up your own reality in your left brain?

Did you know the magic of the universe is in your right brain?

On this special
day, my wish for
you is that
you fall in love
with yourself!

Always thinking with your ego, left brain, stops the flow of energy meant for you to find your bliss, which was always there from birth.

When you let go of survival mode, you will allow all the magic in the universe
to flow through your heart and soul.

Only then will your reality reach beyond your knowing

and you will love yourself first and foremost.

Make It So!
